Renovate before you sell your home. Years before!

A revelation
I was talking to a friend the other day about renovating your home before you sell it. Many think this is a smart way to go, but my friend had a different idea.

He had gone through this exercise four times, spending several thousand dollars with each house sale. Then he finally realized something. It would be really fantastic to be able to live in and enjoy a renovated home himself.

Why does this happen?
Why do so many people wait till they are about to move out of their house before making it a fresh, updated, improved, wonderful place to live?

It’s all in the psychology of the situation. When your real estate agent tells you that you would be a fool to not fix up your house, and you’d make more money if you did, who can resist?

But if you’re just going through life busy with myriad other concerns and activities there’s no trigger point to get you started on a home improvement project.

Why not now?
If you’ve ever had the sense of regret my friend had at waiting too long, years too long, maybe one day you’ll jump up and say, “I’m going to do it now!”

Sound like an idea whose time has come?
